Magelang Regency is surrounded and dominated by hills and volcanoes. Active volcano, Merapi is just about 45 minutes drive from Borobudur. Driving to KETEP PASS is beautiful view to Merapi and Merbabu volcanoes. Borobudur and the capital of the regency are located in the central of the region. This makes the area is very fertile moreover numerous rivers are easily found to support farming and agriculture activities.

Most of the population in this regency are farmer. It is therefore, we encourage people to establish an organic farming by optimalize feeding seed and animals to reduce the use of chemical pestiside. When join the culinary tour, you will be able to explore some organic farming and you also have a chance to be a "farmer" even only to take the crop for your culinary class program.
