Ir. Singgih Sanyoto, who just appointed his second turn to be the Regent of Magelang in last democratic regent election, visit SMP Ma'arif in March 3, 2009 to launching some projects promoted by thelocal government. The SMP is just hundred meters to the South of magnificent monument, Candi Borobudur. He choose this SMP, might be due to simple institution that should be paid attention to develop.
